The U.S. and the EU are coordinating on the Balkans

Deputy Assistant Secretary Gabriel Escobar and I plan to welcome Miroslav Lajcak later this week to coordinate U.S.-EU support for the Western Balkans“, wrote Jim O’Brien, Assistant Secretary of DOS in his X network. In recent years, there has been high criticism of the U.S. diplomats and EU policy towards appeasement of Serbia and punishing Kosovo. A report from the Frontline, UK-based info, suggested the Escobar family members are very tightly connected with the Serbian government. DOS has denied the reports, but Escobar will go on a different mission. However, U.S. policy in the Balkans faces some challenges that need to be corrected. (@CSSDMacedonia)
