The Institute for Security Studies and Development Macedonia (ISSDM) is an institute for security studies with non partisan and non ideological orientation.The ISSDM is based in Tearce-Tetovo, North Macedonia, with scope of analyzing and reporting security events in the Western Balkans. Through our programs, projects, proposals, workshops, reports and analyses, ISSDM observes the security trends and transformations with features which are important imperatives for the region


The mission of the institute is implementation of programs for local, national and regional development in the field of security and peace building: strengthening  rule of law, professional development of the media, cooperation on interethnic plan and improvement of security system. The organization will strive in the field of strengthening of security and peace, at all levels with NATO member states, as well as with candidate countries in the European Union and outside. The mission of the institute is to strengthen the democratic values of institutions in local, national and regional level. Also the field of security studies is primary for the institute


We are specialized in COUNTERING VIOLENT EXTREMISM (CVE), DISINFORMATION and political / security analyses in N. Macedonia and in the Balkans


Our mission is to prevent radicalization and build resilience. As an institute we provide insights, studies, products, intelligence reports and geopolitical monographs which matters for public opinion, institutions, government, policy makers and corporations


We use an unique methodology in analyzing critical security trends. Through facts, the Institute for Security Studies and Development- ISSDM, publishes the most reliable scientific information about developments in N. Macedonia and in the Western Balkans. Our Institute sees the security, integration and development as key components of a stable democracy and civil society


Our research approach anticipates a broad scope of plausible outcomes assessing today’s issues, analyzing trends, and identifying the issue after ‘next’, using the unique operational and policy expertise of our analysts




Within the Institute is also active the ISSDMacedonia, the ISSDM is an Analytical Platform and is the strategic-level study agent with emphasis on geopolitical analysis which cover via interviews and analyses the latest security, political and geopolitical developments in the Balkans and foreign affairs. The Analytical Platform analyses a wide range of issues, ranging form geopolitics, security, energy, cyber, natural resources, interethnic relations, and disinformation.
